Last Post 2010.

Well its New Years Eve. We had plans for a fun evening in the community and fireworks at 8pm to bring in 2011. We were planning to capture the evening events on Dawson's new camcorder, he got it for Christmas.
But just before going out for dinner - Dawson yells: I am gonna be sick! GREAT!!!!! So I guess we will pass on the big evening of events. And stay quietly at home, close to the bathroom. Always another day to use the camcorder, but try telling that to a boy who was so excited to use his tonite.
So we will end this blog entry with the sign we made today. Here is hoping everyone has a great 2011.

Merry Christmas

December 24th Day/Christmas Eve.
The day when Dawson tracks Santa on Norad. He just loves that web site. He did spend 1.5 hours at the rink playing shinny/skating, to let out his high level of energy & excitement. He has trouble sleeping on Dec 24th. First he is scared of Santa coming in the house, then he hears reindeer's on the roof, then he questions if he will get what he wants, then he hears Santa putting stuff in his stocking, then he has to run to the washroom and he is afraid to go by himself, etc etc etc and before you know it, the time is 4:30 AM. Yes, he woke up at 4;30am ! I didn't let him get out of bed till 6am. The joys of kids and Christmas.

The following photo should bring back memories for some. The cookie of my childhood. I remember my Mother holding her tree decorating parties and we always used to hang these cookies on the tree, along with a string of Cranberries. I usually don't hang them on my tree but Dawson just loves them, so this year I carried on my mothers tradition. It was a nice walk down memory lane.
Yup -some things never change. As I am hanging cookies on the tree, l am reminded that kids enjoy other things about cookies. I remember being the same way as a kid.

Christmas School Concert

Well this is our last school concert unless we change schools next year. Our school has decided only to have a Christmas concert every 2 years. We are a lucky school as many schools now don't have Christmas concerts anymore. Here is D looking happy and ready to perform. In grade 5 the students get a chance to join hand bells. D rang the smallest bell but had the biggest part.
Even the Principal remarked on how well he played his part.

The grade 5 class sang the song: Your A Mean One Mr. Grinch. We were so proud of Dawson for his participation in the concert this year. It was a wonderful evening.
