Ginge Class 3R

Here are the gingerbread cookies we made for 3R's christmas party. I have done these cookies ever since Mr.Photography was in daycare. Kids love them, and parents think they are tasty too. It just gets embarrasing when they ask for the recipe. They are from a tube of rolled dough. Hey, my life is busy- give me a break!

The Gift of Giving.

This year Mr. Photography and I decided to par take in Operation Christmas Child. They studied the counteries that his school has decided to send the boxes too. So we filled a shoe box with toys and necessities to make a special gift for a child. What a wonderful donation . Every year around this time we do some sort of charity work to give back to our community. In the past we have sorted and wrapped presents for different toy drives, we have christmas kettled in the mall and now christmas operation child. Mr. Photography loved doing this! His favorite gift to give was the teddy bear! I must say that he picked some lovely gifts.

Wake Up Santa!

If you enlarge this photo, you will Santa has his eyes closed. I didn't notice that when I took the photo today. The big joke btw Mr. Photography and I is, that Santa was sleeping and didn't hear his request. He figures he is for sure getting a dump truck!!! We were pretty lucky to not only get Mr. Photography's photos done with Santa but Rudolph came for the photo too!!!!

I used to be a turtle.

I am sure in a past life I was a turtle. Packing is going very slowly. Well let me correct that statement! I am packing very slowly and time is running out. Yes, I am slowly but surely starting to fill all the Tupperware boxes and cardboard boxes up. I am so sure I am developing a "life threatening" allergy to packing. One good thing about moving is, I will be getting rid of my "prehistoric" computer and entering the world of laptops. (I cannot wait.) My computer is 8 years old. (One year older than my son.) Oh--- can't wait.

I guess I should make this short, I will be disconnecting this computer on Tuesday&will not be blogging till who knows when. But check in once in a while, there will be updates. I will be checking your blogs too. However I should probably be responsible and keep packing for the rest of the day today. Bye for now. J.

LOST!!!

It is finally official. Everyone in Grade 2 has finally lost at least one baby tooth. (Dawson was holding this record breaking event up.) He is so excited. His baby tooth fell out on Tuesday night, the tooth fairy came and left $3. And the most exciting part for D. He got to keep his tooth!!!! Now his smile will never be the same, as the last 7.5 years. Oh well, thats a good thing. He would look pretty funny as adult with a mouth of baby teeth!!!

Smooth Sailing

Here is a photo taken on Thursday. The grade 2 class has done reports on ocean life. Here is my little man reading his, infront of the class and all the parents (about 30 of us showed up.) The kids were all partnered up but D's partner was away this day. So he went solo infront of the class. He did really well. His report was on Sharks.

I'm Here Again

Busy, busy, busy. My blog has taken the back seat lately. As most of you know, we are on the move. Brent has left and D & I, shall tidy things up on this end and follow the end of May. We are very excited and the time cannot go fast enough. I will be sending my computer to the recycling place- the last week of May, so another gap of time with no posts, will happen again till probably mid June. But until then, I have lots of news, to show everyone.

That's Amore

When the moon hits your eye, like a heart shapped pizza pie, that's amore! You bet. Here are some heart shaped pizza, I made. Oh, they were tasty. Here's the littlest valentine of the household. He is holding his valenitne pkg from school. He made it, all by himself. There is not only lots of paper valentines, but tons of valentine candy in it too! Happy Valentines Day Everyone.

Swimming at -30C?

Yup! Crazy eh? It was -30C with the wind chill, a blizzard warning, and a snowfall warning and the school still didn't cancel swimming lesson. Oh well, by looking at these photos you can tell someone is happy with that decision. I must be turning into a local because I drove in that stupid storm to take these photos. I guess I shouldn't complain too much.

My First Puck Toss

Wow this was fun. It was my first puck toss. These are sponge pucks and you (or in this case, my kid) tossed it onto the ice. Of course the object is to try and get it as close to the center circle as possible. But boy it doesn't take much for the puck to roll. The winner got $139.00. That wasn't won by our family, however, someone on our team won it. Lucky ducks.

He Scores in the Shoot Out!

Dawson was the only one to score on this goalie, who by the way, had a shut out in this game. (Which is not hard to do with our team.) Our poor guys. They don't have much luck these days. They either loose (by lots) or they tie. But they have fun. Tournaments are such fun. This tournament was held in Strasbourg. It was a nice little town north of the city. We have been there the last 2 weekends. Wish us luck for this weekend. Dawson plays goalie. Definetly not his strength. ( At least they stop counting the score at 6.) Last time he was goalie, he let in 12 goals! They stopped counting that game at 8. Were practicing in the basement this week, with the goalie equipment.

January 2008

Happy New Year. I bet you had thought I ended this blog. Nope. Just taking an extended leave to celebrate a wonderful year. My first year of blogging. Hooray! I did it.
Had a wonderful Christmas holiday. Auntie Carol just returned home to the Yukon, after a great visit here with us. Dawson's hockey is crazy now. Hockey every weekend till the End of February. Projects keeping me busy include: self improvement, sewing a sleeping bag for Dawson's teddy bear, work (London Drugs), and cooking. Yes, you read cooking, and menu planning and Tae Bo exercises.
Will post some more photos soon. j.
